‘I was blown away’: Gilbert restaurant comps last meal of customer before he died

GILBERT, Ariz. — A Valley woman is opening up about how a local restaurant brought comfort during an unimaginable goodbye.

Roberta Wilsey said her husband, Al, often visited the family-owned Nando’s Mexican Cafe’s Gilbert location. In his final days, a simple act of kindness from the restaurant left a lasting impact.
