Gilbert Council to reconsider Harvest Grove vote

The Gilbert Town Council on Tuesday, Feb. 3, plans to reconsider its denial of rezoning requests by the developer of Harvest Grove, a massive residential and commercial development on the southeast corner of Germann Road and Val Vista Drive.

In a 4-3 vote last month, Council denied approval of developer Lennar Homes’ rezoning requests for the 311-acre parcel, citing concerns over high-density housing, non-conformity to the San Tan Character Area guidelines and increased traffic. The plan calls for 965 single-family homes and 713 apartments.
