PHOENIX — A Gold Canyon family is taking legal action against Abrazo Health for the wrongful death of their son. A lawsuit, recently filed, claims the hospital discharged the 27-year-old when staff were told by his parents not to do so. Now, they are speaking out, demanding accountability.
‘No consideration for safety for his life’
It’s been six months, but for Seth and Gayle Lachica, the death of their son, Kaelen Lachica, is still just as painful.
“That was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do was tell the mother of my child that it’s not good,” Seth Lachica said. “The pain of her having to know and then I had to tell her he’s gone, he’s gone.”
It’s a death that they said could have been avoided…
