Kaelen Lachica died after being discharged from a Phoenix hospital and left on a downtown sidewalk in triple-digit heat, his parents say. Hours after the early-morning discharge, the family says, he was found collapsed, and emergency responders recorded a core temperature of 107°F; he was later pronounced dead.
