Next winter storm arrives in Arizona on First Alert Weather Day

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Today is a First Alert Weather Day as the latest in a series of winter storms arrives in Arizona.

In the Valley, morning temperatures in the 40s will struggle to climb above the low 60s this afternoon. Those temperatures will feel even colder as strong winds arrive today as well. Look for southerly winds between 15 and 25 mph in the Valley, gusting to 35 mph and turning westerly this afternoon behind the coming cold front.

There’s a slight chance for rain in the Valley today, with any amounts staying near a few hundredths of an inch. Up to a quarter inch of rain could fall along the foothill locations along the northern and eastern edges of the Valley…
