Arizonans who missed the recent SpaceX launch last weekend are getting another chance to watch some skyrockets in flight.
SpaceX is scheduled to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from southern California to deliver more Starlink internet satellites into low-Earth orbit late in the early hours of Saturday morning, and there’s a good chance we’ll be able to see it here in Phoenix (if you’re awake, that is).
When will the next SpaceX launch happen?
The next SpaceX launch that we may be able to see in Arizona is currently scheduled for sometime between 1 and 5 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21. Launch times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors, and a more precise time will be announced closer to the day. Check the SpaceX website to see updated estimates.
Another Starlink mission leaving from California is planned for Tuesday, Feb. 24, but it’s scheduled for the daytime so we don’t be able to see it.
Where will the SpaceX launch from?
The Falcon 9 rocket will launch from Space Launch Complex 4E at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara County, California.
