ADOT nearing work on new $5B highway to relieve AZs busiest freeway

The design of the first phase of the long-awaited State Route 30 is nearing completion, with hopes of construction in 2027.

The Arizona Department of Transportation recently unveiled the design for the $5 billion Interstate 10 reliever freeway in the West Valley.

ADOT plans to build SR 30 from State Route 85 in Buckeye to Interstate 17, connecting at the Durango Curve in Phoenix. But the ultimate build-out of the freeway won’t happen until around 2050…
