A project to expand Banner Health Center in Mesa has recently been completed, enabling greater access to convenient medical care for patients in East Valley communities.
The expansion added over 19,000 square feet to the existing facility, which is now more than 40,000 square feet. The health center now has 31 new exam rooms in addition to new medical suites, nurses’ stations, and administrative offices. The facility also features increased in-office behavioral health services, as well as an expanded lab space for Sonora Quest Laboratories, which includes its own waiting area and two additional blood draw stations. Three new providers have joined the care team as a result of the new space, with plans for more to be added this year.
A key component of the expansion project is the resulting increased access to quality care for people in the community. The facility is strategically located in a growing area that is home to a large population with a high demand for health care services. With the new space, more patients will be able to benefit from additional providers and rotating specialists for their primary care needs.
