Frank and Lupe’s, the iconic family-owned Mexican restaurant that was an Old Town Scottsdale destination for over 30 years, has announced its return to the Valley under new ownership.
The former Scottsdale location closed in September 2025 after three decades in business.
The restaurant is set to reopen in Gainey Ranch under the leadership of a new owner, Piero Aviles. But Aviles plans to keep the heart of the restaurant the same, based on the legacy and recipes of Frank and Maria “Lupe” Bernal…
