Mesa Public Schools to Cut 50 Positions Amid Enrollment Decline

Rebecca Hoppman, a teacher at Skyline High School, expressed concerns over the way the district communicated the job cuts during a recent meeting with the Mesa Public School’s Governing Board. She stated, “Teachers understand that declining enrollment can result in reduction in force. However, how leaders communicate and support employees through such decisions reflects the district’s values.
