A nighttime motorcycle ride through central Phoenix turned deadly Monday when a 36-year-old rider lost control and slammed into a wooden utility pole, according to police. Officers found the motorcyclist, later identified as Marvin Roy Logons III, in critical condition and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash prompted a large emergency response as detectives shut down the area to process the scene and collect evidence.
