Two claims seek $25M from Mesa for accidents

Two wrongful death claims totaling $25 million were filed in January against the City of Mesa.

The claims are still being reviewed, according to city spokesman Kevin Christopher last week. Mesa has 60 days to respond to a claim, which is a precursor to a lawsuit.

Amanda Anderson filed a claim against the city and Maricopa County for $15 million each over death of her father, Raymond Anderson, last October.
