Mesa Council members discuss their priorities

For Councilwoman Dorean Taylor, the Buckhorn Baths, Golden Hills Golf Club and the former Grand Hotel are just some of the big redevelopment opportunities in her district, which takes in central and south-central Mesa.

Three months after taking office, Taylor participated in her first strategic planning session, in which council members gave their priorities and challenges for their respective districts and their input on how to elevate Mesa.

“My residents are very vocal in that they live in a very classic suburban world,” said Taylor at the Feb. 19 event. “So we want to kind of keep that model for District 2 because that’s what the residents have asked for.”
