What Criteria Did WalletHub Use To Rank The Happiest Cities in America?
WalletHub looked at more than 180 U.S. cities. They rated the locations using 29 indicators of happiness rooted in positive psychology research. Here are some of the factors the study analyzed:
- Mental Well-Being: Rates of depression, life satisfaction
- Physical Health: Life expectancy rates, fitness levels
- Income and Employment: Income growth, job satisfaction
- Community and Environment: Commute times, weather, social ties, rates of volunteerism
