After nearly a year, stolen Scottsdale chihuahua finds his way home

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — For almost a year, Jax the chihuahua was just a cold case. The small dog was missing and his owner was left wondering if she’d ever see him again. Now, thanks to a fresh tip and a microchip scan, Scottsdale police said the little pup is finally back where he belongs.

According to Scottsdale police, Jax was stolen directly from his owner’s apartment, and the case quickly went quiet. Months passed with no meaningful leads until earlier this year, when new information sent investigators to a Scottsdale hotel on March 11.
