Construction has already started on four train routes in Mexico, from Mexico City to Pachuca, Mexico City to Queretaro, Queretaro to Irapuao and from Saltillo to Nuevo Laredo, which borders Laredo, Texas.
The proposed passenger train would travel up to 125 miles per hour, span about 2,700 miles and include diesel and electric trains, main and secondary stations and about 700 seats.
