DeShawn Tarango, a suspect in the New Year’s shooting of 15-year-old Julian Quintana in Central Heights, was transferred to Gila County Jail on March 12 after he was located at a residence in Mesa and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force on March 3.
Authorities had been looking for Tarango since the day of the shooting. Tarango was initially deemed a person-of-interest in the case; however, after further investigation, Tarango became a suspect in the case, alleged to have caused the death of Quintana.
