Owner Richard Bock confirmed the family-run restaurant served its last meals on Sunday, capping a 24-year run in the strip-mall row along Indian School Road. Known for house-made pastas and a veal osso buco so tender it became neighborhood lore, the closure follows an early March post announcing Bock’s plans to retire.
According to The Arizona Republic, a March 1 Facebook message from the restaurant broke the news that Bock was stepping away and warned customers that Giuseppe’s would soon shut its doors. The paper reports the dining room officially closed on Sunday after roughly 24 years in business.
From concert halls to the kitchen
Bock’s path to red sauce and osso buco started with a cello, not a sauté pan.
