A late-night ride in Mesa ended in tragedy Wednesday when a motorcyclist collided with a truck near Greenfield Road and Desert Lane, just south of Baseline Road. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. The rider was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Police have not publicly identified the man as detectives work to determine what led up to the collision.

According to Arizona’s Family, first responders were dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. to the area of Greenfield Road and Desert Lane. Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist seriously injured after his bike collided with a truck. The rider was transported to a nearby hospital and was later pronounced dead.
