TEMPE, AZ (AZFamily) — A “loud” and annoying issue among residents has sparked action from police in the East Valley.
After hearing from locals, businesses, and hotels about loud vehicles in downtown Tempe, officers conducted a targeted enforcement effort focused on excessive noise, speeding, and unsafe driving.
Dubbed “Operation Quiet Night,” the effort took place Friday, March 27, and resulted in 41 vehicle stops and 47 citations, including nine loud-muffler violations, 11 distracted-driving stops, and three red-light violations. Two vehicles were also impounded…
