IKEA, the Swedish home furnishings retailer, is opening its second storefront in Arizona — more than 20 years after the company first came to the state.
The north Phoenix location, 4643 E. Cactus Road, is considered a small-format store, and will have about 4,000 products on display and 3,000 products for sale. The 75,000-square-foot location near the former Paradise Valley Mall will also serve the food, including the Swedish meatballs, IKEA is known for.
This is the third IKEA location in Arizona. The first IKEA store and showroom, which is more than 300,000 square feet, opened in Tempe in 2004. The company also has what it calls a “plan and order point” in Scottsdale where customers can pick up pre-ordered products and plan projects. It opened in 2025.
The new store is scheduled to open Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. with grand opening festivities beginning at 8 a.m. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
