Banner Health identifies patient who was unable to communicate due to injury

PHOENIX — Banner Health has determined the identity of a patient who was unable to communicate after he was struck by a vehicle in Phoenix earlier this year.

The man, who was described as Hispanic and likely in his 20s, was hit by a car near 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road on Jan. 12 before being taken to Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix.

He sustained a brain injury and had no ID when he arrived at the hospital. He spent time on life support and was unable to identify himself…
