PHOENIX — What is May Day?
More than 3,000 actions are planned across the nation on May 1 for “May Day,” a national day of mobilization where individuals are demanding “workers over billionaires,” according to organizers. Last year, more than 1,000 May Day actions were planned, and this May Day is the next national mobilization after “No Kings”. May Day is also known as International Workers’ Day and is often observed by an economic blackout: “no school, no work, and no shopping.”
