Teen assaulted with gun near Phoenix park, police say

PHOENIX — Phoenix police officers responded to the area of Cave Creek Park-Cholla early Tuesday morning after a teen boy was injured during an altercation.

At about 4 a.m. on May 5, police responded to 25th Avenue and Cholla Street for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the scene, but the subjects involved had already left the area.

Police later learned a teen had taken himself to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during an altercation with a gun. The incident reportedly involved at least one gunshot being fired…
