A search was underway for a 12-year-old girl reported missing in Gladeview, in Northwest Miami-Dade, on Sunday, according to a report citing the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office. Isis Johnson had last been seen near the 2400 block of NW 68th Street. Detectives circulated her description in a search bulletin.
The initial search bulletin, published by WSVN, described Johnson as standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing roughly 180 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Deputies said at the time that her last-seen clothing was unknown. The bulletin sought public help locating her.
How Florida Law Forces Immediate Action on Missing Kids
Cases like Johnson’s move fast in Florida because state law requires it. Why Not Every Case Triggers a Statewide Alert
