Shared private jet flights are getting another boost. Days after Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, launched the crowdsourcing app FlyWith, Blade is bringing back its version of jet-sharing by relaunching BladeOne shuttles.
While Oseary’s venture lets flyers split the cost of chartering a private jet, Blade’s flights will run on a published schedule. Flyers buy seats as they would with airlines; however, they use private terminals to avoid long lines and airport mayhem, and get roomier seats and gourmet catering.
The unit of electric air taxi maker Joby Aviation will market the flights, which will be operated by Aero, a Los Angeles-based private jet company offering a similar by-the-seat private jet service, mainly out of Los Angeles…
