Green liquid pours into terminal at Miami International Airport

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A green liquid poured out of the ceiling on Thursday morning in Concourse G at Miami International Airport.

The liquid turned out to be from a broken pipe inside the concourse, airport officials said. The liquid was not hazardous.

Video posted by NBC Miami showed the liquid oozing out of the ceiling into the terminal in front of confused onlookers.

An airport spokesperson said the liquid turned out to be water from the AC system that has a green dye so that it can be traced to its source in the event of a leak.

It took crews about 90 minutes to clean up the mess.
