MIAMI — The energy inside SiriusXM’s Miami Beach studio is electric.
Surrounded by the newest latest in broadcast equipment, Hits 1 Radio hosts Michael “Mack” Weaver and Jennifer Morejon, of the Mack & Jen show, have broad smiles as they prepare for their noon production that airs on SiriusXM’s Channel 2.
The pair exude a fun, inviting energy: Mack with his stylish Nike sneakers on and Jen with her fresh from Brickell City Centre look.
After a lively discussion with their producer Nick, the team has decided about their topic of discussion for the show: Whether Nick should sell his pair of Taylor Swift tickets for $20,000.
A caller chimes in with some insight, saying she wouldn’t sell her own Taylor Swift tickets. She describes how amazing the show is to Weaver.
“But is it $20,000 amazing?” he demands.
The studio erupts into laughter.
In the year and a half that the Mack & Jen team has been on SiriusXM, they have created a show that feels like a Miami house party. The pair discuss pop culture and laugh with famous guests in a way that makes listeners feel like they are catching up on chisme (gossip) with old friends.
