MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A 54-year-old Miami man has been cited for possession of undersized lobsters in the Florida Keys. Jefferson Martinez received a mandatory notice to appear in court citation on Wednesday following an encounter with law enforcement.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Marine Deputy Willie Guerra was on patrol near Mile Marker 61 at approximately 12:41 p.m. when he observed Martinez diving. Upon further investigation, Deputy Guerra discovered that Martinez was in possession of three undersized lobsters.
