South Florida bracing for chilly start to Friday

A brief, cold punch of air hits South Florida.

As skies remain clear Thursday night and northwest winds stir, the stage is set for temperatures to dip to the low and mid 50s across Miami-Dade and Broward counties Friday morning, 10 or more degrees below average for this time of year.

Some far western suburbs may even slip to the upper 40s.
