Miami Man pleads guilty to embezzling over $190K from a dead customers bank account

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is facing a prison sentence after he pled guilty to using his position at a bank to embezzle over $190,000 from a dead customer’s account.

The United States Department of Justice Southern District of Florida (DOJ), says in 2023 after Billy Gedeon learned that one of the bank’s customers had died he went into the customer’s account several times without authorization.

Gedeon stole over $190,000 from the deceased person’s account by forging the customer’s signature on a bank form, withdrawing all the money and depositing the money into his personal account…
