Power lines fell in the vicinity of Harbor Drive on Saturday morning, knocking out power to an undisclosed number of Key Biscayne residents.
Key Biscayne Fire Rescue Chief Joe Fernandez said members of his department and Florida Power and Light personnel “handled it as a routine response” and everything was secured quickly and power restored shortly thereafter. Resident Michele Estevez said FPL trucks were seen leaving the Island shortly after 11:30 a.m.
After speaking to crews, Fernandez said the lines came down for an “unknown reason.”…
