Renting in Miami: $1,500 gets you far less space than the national average, worst in Florida

After Ft. Lauderdale took the top spot as the most sought-after rental spot in the state in a recent report, Miami, once again takes a back seat to their neighbor to the north, this time apartment space for the money.

According to the Rentcafe.com report, $1,500 gets you just 506 square feet of living space–the least in the state.

In Fort Lauderdale, that same budget can get you 520 square feet, and Hialeah offers 593 square feet. This roughly translates to a small 1-bedroom or ultra-tight 2-bedroom unit…
