Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested a man who they say struck and killed a bicyclist with his car last week — and drove off without rendering aid or calling 911.
Gregory Hughes, 63, was riding his bicycle westbound along Northwest 103rd Street on Aug. 25, at around 11:30 p.m., when he was hit from behind by a 2013 Honda Civic. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics declared him dead at the scene.
The Honda’s driver, who detectives say is 45-year-old Michelson Jeancy, drove off. Images of the car were captured on several security camera in the area, according to Jeancy’s arrest report. The images showed the car had front-end damage, the report states…
