‘Cougar Cash’ helps promote positive behavior at one South Florida elementary school

MIAMI — Students at Kelsey L. Pharr Elementary in Miami-Dade County are doing their best every day and “cashing” in when it comes to showing off their positive attitude at school.

“Cougar Cash” is this school year’s incentive for students demonstrating a good attitude and improvements in core subjects.

Fifth grader, Jorge Hernandez, is doing his best every day and loves the new incentives.

“I really like that the cougar store has different games and sports balls. I don’t have to wait for someone to take me to the store to get these things, I can get them at school with my own cougar cash,” said Hernandez…
