Police Give New Details on Jack Doherty Arrest

Miami Beach police have released new details on the arrest of YouTuber and social media influencer Jack Doherty.

The incident was captured on several viral videos, including one showing a police officer using expletives toward Doherty. Now, Miami Beach police have released their side of things. And they say that Doherty was recording video in the middle of the road. Police emailed the press statement to Men’s Journal.They also released body cam video of the incident.

  • “Who the (expletive) do you think you are, bro?” a police officer says to Doherty in a TikTok video after Doherty says he was trying to walk in the street.
  • Now, police are accusing Doherty of posing a “significant safety hazard.”
  • Jail booking records in Miami-Dade County confirmed that Doherty was booked into the jail on multiple potential charges. He was “booked into Florida’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just before 9 a.m. (November 15) on three charges — possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest,” TMZ reported.

“This morning, at approximately 3:12 a.m., Miami Beach police officers arrested Jack C. Doherty, 22, on multiple charges, including Resisting an Officer Without Violence and Possession of Amphetamine,” police confirmed in the statement.

According to police, Doherty created a safety hazard when he tried recording video in the middle of the road, within an entertainment district.

“While conducting a high-visibility enforcement detail in the 700 block of Washington Avenue, within the Entertainment District, officers observed a group of individuals entering the roadway,” police wrote…
