Miami-Dade schools enter a ‘new golden era,’ says school board chair

“A new vision is rising in public education in Miami-Dade schools.”

That was the sentiment from Honorable School Board Chair Mari Tere Rojas last week during her State of the School System district address, saying its commitment to redefining education is part of “a new golden era,” one that focuses on “preparing every student to thrive in an increasingly complex world.”

Her 25-minute speech encompassed the Miami-Dade Public Schools district, the third largest in the country, with its sixth year in a row as being an A-rated district, and its 41st year in a row being recognized for its expert financial reporting.
