South Florida airports see hundreds of delays, dozens of cancellation as Winter Storm Gianna hits

MIAMI — Winter Storm Gianna caused widespread flight disruptions at South Florida airports saturday, prompting a cold weather advisory as delays and cancellations mounted.

As of 2:15 p.m., Miami International Airport reported 212 delays affecting flights within, into, or out of the United States. A total of 49 flights had been canceled.
