CLEVELAND (WJW) — An Ohio fugitive whose been on the run for 18 years has been captured in Florida, according to U.S. Marshals.
According to a media release, Craig Scanlon, 68, was arrested late Monday afternoon in Miami. Officials said the wanted man was found to be living and working in Miami Beach as a personal trainer and hotel manager in the 6500 block of Collins Avenue.
In 2001, Scanlon was convicted in federal court of multiple charges, including mail fraud and money laundering. Officials said he embezzled money and defrauded clients out of nearly $700,000.
