Wynwood’s New Upside Lounge Cranks Up Cocktails And Late-Night Beats

Wynwood is about to get a little louder. Upside, a music-driven cocktail lounge, is set to open in the neighborhood on Friday, June 5. The day-to-night spot is promising creative cocktails, shareable bites and a sound-first setup that shifts from laid-back daytime listening into late-night DJ sets and surprise sessions.

According to Time Out, Upside will debut at 59 NW 28th Street and lean into bold visual design and multidimensional lighting that evolve as the night goes on. The outlet reports that the venue will program curated listening sessions, surprise sets and late-night DJ appearances, and that it also plans spirit-brand collaborations, game-day watch parties and art-and-fashion pop-ups.

Executive chef Pablo Lamon, who appeared on Bravo’s Top Chef Season 16 according to Eater, will lead a shareable menu at Upside. Time Out lists elevated bites such as braised short rib and manchego croquettes, red jalapeno mac & cheese arancini, whipped ricotta “cream cloud” toast and smoked wagyu sirloin bites, all paired with a seasonal, music-inspired cocktail program.
