The family of Joshua Lahai, the 11-year-old who drowned Sunday off Surfside Beach, has established a GoFundMe page to help with funeral and burial expenses, raising more than 23,000 as of Thursday.
Joshua’s brother, Peter Lahai, wrote on the GoFundMe site that the tragedy has left the family “devastated and struggling to cope with the emotional and financial challenges that come with saying goodbye to someone so young and full of life.”
