A relatively wide range of salaries meet the criteria for middle-class incomes in Miami, a recent report shows.
Published earlier this year by SmartAsset, the study ranked all 50 states and the largest 100 U.S. cities by their middle-class income ranges. The report reviewed 2024 U.S. Census Bureau data for the median household income and applied “a variation of the Pew Research definition of middle-income households, which defines a middle class salary range by two-thirds to double the median U.S. salary,” in order to arrive at its figures.
The “upper bound” for middle-class income in Miami is $132,674, while the “lower bound” is $44,225, according to the study. The median household income is $66,337, the report added…
