The 27-year-old Sarasota man behind the wheel of the sedan received serious injuries in the 6:53 a.m. crash, as did the 48-year-old Hialeah driver of the Peterbilt tractor-trailer.
According to the FHP, the Sarasota man was driving south on the entrance ramp to the highway at Clark Road when his car experienced a blowout, prompting a swerve into the path of the truck.
