Last April, hedge fund manager Ken Griffin was called out by New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for his New York home. Now, his Miami neighbors are upset with him.
Back in April, Mamdani announced a pied-à-terre tax on second homes worth at least $5 million in the city, naming Griffin personally for his $238 million penthouse. In response, Griffin threatened to move his company’s focus from NYC to Miami.

“We will add far more jobs in Miami over the next decade as an immediate and direct consequence of the Mayor’s poor decision here,” said Griffin to CNBC.
Perhaps because of that, Griffin has announced plans to build a personal heliport near his home in Miami beach. His neighbors aren’t happy…
