South Florida is starting October with rounds of rain, gusty winds and the potential for localized flooding, while dangerous beach and boating conditions are expected to persist into the weekend.
The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties late Thursday morning as heavy rain moved through the area. The advisory, issued at 11:32 a.m., is in effect until 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
