Finally, after months of waiting, Miami’s need for affordable Japanese basics will finally be sated.
Retail giant Uniqlo has finally announced the opening dates for not one, but two new stores in South Florida. The Japanese brand, known for its functional, everyday clothing, will open at Aventura Mall on Thursday, Nov. 5, and at 530 Lincoln Road in Miami Beach on Thursday, Nov. 12. The Aventura store is the larger of the two, with more than 17,000 square feet of retail space across two floors. Some of that space will go to a RE.UNIQLO Studio, which offers embroidery and mending services to help extend the life of clothing. Shoppers can also donate clothes benefiting Covenant House or drop off unwearable clothing for recycling.
“Miami is a city shaped by creativity, energy, and a rich mix of cultures, and we are excited to open our first two stores designed to serve the many ways people live, work, travel, and spend time here,” Fumimori Adachi, CEO of Uniqlo USA, said in a press statement…
