A woman watching her child’s soccer game near Northeast Second Avenue in Miami was stabbed multiple times by a man who approached and stood close to her before pulling a knife from his waistband, according to an arrest report. Jayson Suprinvil, 31, was arrested in August and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in connection with the attack.
According to NBC 6 South Florida, officers arrived at 6301 NE 2nd Ave. on Aug. 23 after receiving reports of a man armed with a knife. The victim told detectives she was at the soccer game to see her child play and was sitting on a brick ledge when Suprinvil approached her and stood close by before pulling an object from his waistband.
Witnesses Describe the Attack
One witness told police they saw Suprinvil approach the victim, pull out an object and begin stabbing her several times, the station’s report states. The victim herself said Suprinvil pulled out a large kitchen knife from his pants and began stepping on her repeatedly. She said she threw herself to the ground in an effort to protect herself, suffering a stab wound to her buttocks in the process…
