Two Dogs in Florida Brutally Target Man in Wheelchair With One ‘Getting Chunks’ off Victim

Authorities confirm the attack happened on Wednesday, and that the victim had to undergo arm surgery

A disabled man is recovering in Florida from a vicious dog attack last week that involved two canines with a history of such behavior.

WPLG spoke to someone who witnessed the horrifying attack in Miami-Dade County.

Authorities confirm the attack happened on Wednesday, and that the victim was in a wheelchair at the time.

The pit bulls — named Boo-boo and Jumpety — knocked the man out of his wheelchair.

One witness told the station he felt helpless to do anything as one of the dogs was “getting chunks” off the man.

A semi-truck driver in the area attempted to scare away the dogs by blasting his horn. It did not work. Several bystanders started throwing things at the violent dogs, but the attack continued.

The dogs eventually stopped attacking the man, who has to undergo arm surgery, reports the station.

Neighbors told WPLG the owner of the dogs is in jail, and that they’ve been roaming the area together. One person who spoke to the station said Jumpety is known for being an aggressive animal , and is said to have been behind another recent attack.
