The raids were part of an ongoing investigation into allegations that Pino tried to harm his estranged wife, Tatiana Pino.

The FBI had been investigating whether Pino hired one of his part-time employees to target his wife, Tatiana, shortly after she filed for divorce in 2022. Tatiana had accused her estranged husband of poisoning her. She began having unexplained health problems in 2019 that persisted until she moved out of their home in 2022.
