Missing Child Alert issued for 8-year-old Florida girl

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The FDLE has issued a Missing Child Alert for an 8-year-old Florida girl.

FDLE said Liah Meza was last seen on Northwest 1st Avenue in Homestead, Florida.

Liah is described as a 4-foot-tall white girl weighing around 60 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a dark-colored t-shirt and shorts and may be wearing glasses.

Officials said Liah may be in the company of Yailen Roche — a white-Hispanic woman about five feet four inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes — and Geovany Maresma-Burcet — a white-Hispanic man about five feet five inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Roche was last seen in a grey tank top, black shorts, and grey sneakers Maresma-Burcet was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and black shorts.

FDLE said they may be traveling in a 2021 white Honda Pilot with a Florida tag number QEAE24 and a bike rack on the back.

Officials said they may be traveling in the area of Lafayette, Louisiana, and advised civilians to avoid approaching them.
